XOTOPRO QMM1 macro twin flash mount system
The XOTOPRO QMM1 macro twin flash mount system gives you the flexibility and control to get light where you want it. Your digital SLR camera attaches securely to the QMM1’s aircraft grade aluminum mount plate. Permanently attached to the QMM1 mount plate are two fully articulating ultra lightweight flex conduit arms. These arms can hold macro flash units or other lightweight accessories at almost any angle or position within the arm’s reach*.
Unlike a ring flash that is fixed on the camera lens yielding flat lighting, the XOTOPRO QMM1’s ability to move the flash units creating directional light adds greater depth, definition and attention to macro subjects. This gives you greater control to create the image you want. Dramatic macro subjects can be made to look spectacular with the right light. The QMM1 allows you to control the light in almost any close up situation, outdoors or in the studio.
The unique design of the XOTOPRO QMM1 allows for hand-held photography in the field or mounting on a tripod in the studio. Actually, the QMM1 in conjunction with the TUMAX twin flash system make a for a perfect macro studio lighting set up. Anyone who routinely photographs very small object or products will appreciate having the ability to quickly and easily change the position of the flash units to create just the right lighting “atmosphere” for the subject.
The XOTOPRO QMM1 is available separately. XOTOPRO has worked closely with TUMAX to create a package containing the QMM1 with the TUMAX twin flash system. The flash units are very compact, lightweight and mount perfectly on the QMM1. This combination provides better balance and easier handling than other heavier, more bulky and more expensive macro flash solutions.

- At 1 lb. 14oz, the QMM1 is just half the weight of its nearest competitor.
- The camera mount screw moves forward and back in a cut groove to accommodate a wide variety of digital SLR’s and lenses. The QMM1 is designed for lenses from 50mm to 200mm.
- Ultra lightweight flex conduit arms are 11 in. in length.
- 2 _-20 threaded mounting points, one on each side, for attaching additional accessories
- 2 _-20 threaded tripod mount points on the bottom for better balance on a tripod.

Notes
*Provided the flash units or accessories fall within the variable weight specifications. As the arms are extended (straightened) out to their fullest length they cannot hold as much weight as when they are bent. This is the physics of leverage.
